About UsChange is good, and for two local beloved hair institutions, change is exciting and reinvigorating.
Shine Salon, Charlotte's premiere destination for progressive, passionate cuts and color, has merged with Fuze Salon in Elizabeth.
Founded by Amy Swaney in 2005, Shine Salon has stretched the spacial limits of its perfectly Plaza-Midwood building on Commonwealth Avenue.
"The Shine team is looking forward to the collaborative power that will come as part of aligning with Fuze Salon," says Amy Swaney. "There are so many common connections between the salons, it is a natural fit."
This union of two powerhouse salons is an amazing opportunity to create a super-salon of sorts, one that offers expertise in hair color, styling, aesthetician services and makeup artistry under one beautifully-designed, spacious roof.
The salon on East Seventh Street is an expansive, stunning space, complete with hardwood floors, original fireplace, custom tile work, an outdoor area and complimentary WiFi for those who want to stay connected while receiving services.
The Fuze team is jammed with artists gifted in their chosen medium, including Stanley Owings, creator of iMpact Color Cosmetics and frequent guest on WCNC's Charlotte Today. The new Shine Salon will offer an enhanced menu of services, including skincare treatments, waxing and makeup application.
"This melding is an incredible opportunity for growth, enrichment and collaboration," says Fuze owner Steve Pence. "We see only great things on the horizon for the clients and stylists on both sides."
The combined staff and salon now operate under the Shine Salon name at the East Seventh Street location.
